Inclinometer

PhyPhox has a wonderful inclinometer experiment that allows you to place the phone on a structure, for instance at the support of a simply supported beam subjected to a midspan load. The end rotation of the beam can be measured and compared to the results of mechanics calculations. In this case, the beam's end rotated 6.07 degrees when the brick was placed. It also appears that there was some twist in the yard stick that was taken up as the load was applied because the Tilt up/down reading also changed.
